Aurélie studied design and glass art, and Samuel studied ceramics and artist's assistantship. In 2008, they founded their studio together and settled in Brittany. They work with glass paste, an ancient technique that allows glass to be used as a sculptural material through a molding process.

The two initially worked side by side before collaborating on the same project. Their collaboration began when one of them designed a sculpture from the other's world. From that moment on, the boundaries became permeable; the possibility of a fruitful confrontation arose without anything being imposed. It became more interesting for both of us to uncover and better understand the individual elements of the emerging work through dialogue.

In short, working as a duo teaches them to verbalize intimate aspects and translate them into understandable and communicable thoughts. The effort they put into developing the various elements of a sculpture helps them expand beyond their usual areas.

The duo is an independent artist duo, a kind of third entity, formed by two artists who can simultaneously pursue their own projects.

The transformation of materials is an integral part of the creative process. Glass, with all its technical and aesthetic properties, is their preferred material. It offers a variety of states—fragile, transparent, opaque, translucent, fragmented—and always serves the meaning of the work.
