Thomas Lucker's work focuses on the exploration of individual and collective memory. Photographs form the basis for the creation of heads, figures, and reliefs. During the artistic process, the sculptures are exposed using wet chemicals in the darkroom, permanently bonding the photograph to the stone. The works oscillate between pictorial two-dimensionality and sculptural spatiality.
